Announcement: Free English Classes for Ukrainian Teenagers Relocated from Ukraine

З 4 вересня по 15 грудня 2023 року American Corner Bucharest – партнерство між Посольством США в Бухаресті та Національною бібліотекою Румунії – організовує безкоштовні уроки англійської мови для української молоді з України.

Молоді українці, зацікавлені в цій можливості, повинні виконати такі умови:

• мати громадянство України (підтверджується паспортом, посвідченням особи або свідоцтвом про народження, виданим українською державою);
• Бути від 14 до 19 років (якщо 13 років, ви також можете подати заявку)
• Заняття відбуватимуться в American Corner Bucharest, у будівлі Національної бібліотеки Румунії (22 Unirii Bd., 030833, Sector 3, Bucharest)

Як зареєструватися:

• У період з 1 по 31 серпня 2023 р. надішліть нам на електронну адресу acbucuresti@gmail.com такі документи або принесіть їх до American Corner Bucharest:
  1. Копія українського паспорта/українського посвідчення особи/українського свідоцтва про народження
  2. Для неповнолітніх: копія паспорта/посвідчення громадянина України одного з батьків.
  3. Наступна інформація, написана літерами латинського алфавіту: ім’я та прізвище, контактні дані (номер телефону, адреса електронної пошти), поточний рівень знання англійської мови (початковий, середній або просунутий)

Повідомлення про зарахування на програму :
Через декілька робочих днів після останнього дня реєстрації Вам буде надіслано повідомлення електронною поштою про зарахування на програму, а також інформацію щодо першого заняття.

Between September 4 – December 15, 2023, American Corner Bucharest – a partnership between the US Embassy in Bucharest and the National Library of Romania – organizes free English classes for Ukrainian teenagers relocated from Ukraine.

Young Ukrainians interested in this opportunity must fulfill the following conditions:

• Hold Ukrainian citizenship (attested by their passport, national identity card or birth certificate issued by the Ukrainian state)
• Be a teenager
• The classes will take place at the American Corner Bucharest, in the National Library of Romania building (22 Unirii Bd., 030833, Sector 3, Bucharest)

How to register:

• Between August 1 – 31, 2023, please send us by email at acbucuresti@gmail.com the following documents or bring them at the American Corner Bucharest:
  1. Copy of your Ukrainian passport/ Ukrainian national identity card/Ukrainian birth certificate
  2. For minors only: A copy of one of the parent’s Ukrainian passport/Ukrainian national identity card.
  3. The following information in latin alphabet characters: First Name and Last Name, Contact details (phone number, email address), current level of English knowledge (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced)

Notification of admittance

• By the end of August, you will be notified by email about your acceptance to the classes and you will be given more details about the first class.

Other things to note:

• American Corner Bucharest is located within the National Library building, floor 1, section E, room 01-03.
• American Corner is closed in August, as well as the National Library of Romania building. It will open in September.
